Jean-Claude Van Damme Kicks Ass in Trailer for Netflix's French Action Flick THE LAST MERCENARY

Netflix has released a new trailer for the French action flick The Last Mercenary, starring Jean-Claude Van Damme, who is on a mission in the film to return to France to save his son. He is joined in the cast by Alban Ivanov, Assa Sylla, Samir Decazza, Patrick Timsit, Eric Judor, and Miou-Miou. The film was directed by filmmaker David Charhon from a script he co-wrote with Ismael Sy Savane.

Here’s the synopsis:

Richard Brumère (Van Damme), aka "La Brume" (or "The Mist"), a former French secret service special agent turned mercenary, is back in the saddle as the immunity he was granted 25 years earlier for his son Archibald is lifted. A mob operation threatens Archibald's life. To save him, Richard will have to reach out to his old contacts, join forces with a bunch of reckless youngsters from the projects and an offbeat bureaucrat - but mostly find the courage to let Archibald know he's his father.

This movie looks like a mix of goofiness, with JCVD wearing a bunch of ridiculous disguises, and some series badassery. Van Damme is in freaking incredible shape at 60 years old! The movie looks like it will be chock full of crazy stunts and awesome fight scenes that will please any movie-goer. Check out the trailer below, and watch The Last Mercenary on Netflix on July 30th.
