Jeff Goldblum May Be Reprising His Role as The Grandmaster in THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER
Like many of you, I’ve been hoping to see Jeff Goldblum return to the MCU as The Grandmaster. Well, it looks like he might be coming back for Marvel’s Thor: Love and Thunder!
Thor: Love and Thunder is currently in production in Australia and ews.com.au in Australia reports that a few members of the film’s cast and crew were in attendance at a football match. The group included Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, director Taika Waititi, and Mr. Jeff Goldblum. The news outlet has photos to prove it.
This is the first that I’ve heard about Goldblum’s possible return as The Grandmaster in the Thor sequel, but if the character returned to any MCU movie, this would obviously be the one that would make most sense. While his casting hasn’t been confirmed, it seems to me like this is a good sign that he’s back in the film.
Thor: Love and Thunder also stars Chris Pratt who will return as Star-Lord; and it was announced that Christian Bale will play Gore The God Butcher.
I’m excited about Jane Foster’s storyline in this movie as she takes on the mantle of Thor. Jane Foster’s Thor story arc is based on Jason Aaron’s comic book run on The Mighty Thor, the story of which follows a cancer-stricken Jane Foster as she takes up the mantle and powers of Thor.
Thor: Love and Thunder is currently set to arrive in theaters on February 11th, 2022.
