Jeffrey Dean Morgan is Set To Return as John Winchester in SUPERNATURAL
Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who has recently been playing Negan on The Walking Dead, is set to return to The CW’s Supernatural! That’s right, he’ll be trading his baseball bat in for his colt revolver.
Morgan will reprise his role of John Winchester in supernatural, and it would be a lot of fun to see him back in action hunting down monsters and demons with his two sons, Sam and Dean. He’s set to appear in Supernatural’s upcoming 300th episode, which is called "Lebanon".
Executive producer Andrew Dabb had this to say in a statement:
"We're incredibly excited to have Jeffrey back for this milestone episode, and think fans will love what we have planned for his character... and a few other guest stars.”
Morgan previously appeared as John in 12 episodes of the show over the course of the first two of seasons. The last time we saw him in the series was during the Season 2 finale back in 2007.
There’s no word on what his story arc in the episode will entail, but even though John is dead, in a series like this, it shouldn’t be hard to bring him back in some way.
Just in case you forgot, John made a deal with the demon Azazel to bring back Dean from death and he ended up going to Hell for it. He eventually escaped when the Devil's Gate was opened and, as a spirit, helped Dean in killing Azazel before moving on.
The Supernatural episode "Lebanon" will air Thursday, February 7th on The CW.
