JEM AND THE HOLOGRAMS Rock Out in First Movie Photo
This is the first photo that we’ve seen from Jon M. Chu’s live-action big screen adaptation of Jem and the Holograms. As you can see, it features the main characters rocking out on stage. The image is blurry because it has been blown up from a micro version that debuted in the latest issue of Elle Magazine.
We got our first peek at the characters in a poster that was released last year. Those characters include Aubrey Peeples as Jem, Stefanie Scott as Kimber, Hayley Kiyoko as Aja, and Aurora Perrineau as Shana. This new image is the first production still though.
The movie is based on the 1980s animated series, and it "centers on an orphaned teenage girl who becomes an online recording sensation. She and her sisters embark on a music-driven scavenger hunt -- one that sends them on an adventure across Los Angeles in an attempt to unlock a final message left by her father."
Jem and the Holograms is set to be released on October 23rd, 2015, and it also stars Juliette Lewis and Molly Ringwald.
