Jena Malone Stars in Trailer for Quirky Indie Drama ADOPTING AUDREY
A new trailer has been released for the quirky indie drama Adopting Audrey, starring Jena Malone (Step Mom, Saved!), who plays an adult woman looking to be adopted. She is joined in the cast by Robert Hunger-Bühler, Brooke Bloom, Will Rogers, and Emily Kuroda. The film is written and directed by Mike Cahill (King of California, Another Earth).
Here’s the film’s synopsis:
“Audrey (Jena Malone) is a restless woman in a constant state of transition but yearns for more permanent roots. Ultimately putting herself up for adult adoption, she connects with a family and forms an unlikely bond with the misanthropic patriarch.”
This looks like a really sweet story, with a solid performance from Malone, and a great directing style. Check out the trailer for the film below, and watch Adopting Audrey in select US theaters and on VOD starting August 26th.
