Jennifer Aniston Wishes She Could Have Played Wonder Woman, But Knows She Waited Too Long
Jennifer Aniston is flying high on her win at the Screen Actors Guild Awards for Best Female Actor in a Drama Series for her incredible portrayal in the series The Morning Show. While backstage after the win on Sunday night, Aniston was asked by People what she would like to work on coming up. She said:
“I wanted to be Wonder Woman, but I waited too long.”
She went on to say:
“I don’t know. I have a lot to do. I really, honestly, feel that I’m just kicking into a creative stride. I’ve just discovered a new love of this in a new way that I didn’t know that I had before so I almost have new eyes that I’m seeing what it is that I do as an actor.”
She’s really fantastic in The Morning Show, and I can’t wait to see the second season. Apart from the incredible dramatic work she’s doing, she also added:
“I want to do more comedies. I want to have some laughter.”
And all of us Friends fans know that we’d be happy to see her back on the comedy track. Aniston is a wonderful actress, but I don’t think I can see her as Wonder Woman, even in her prime. Especially now that we’ve seen Gal Gadot in the role. She is the best woman for the job, and I’m glad it worked out that we got her to play the superhero.
