Jeremy Irons Set to Star in and Produce Biopic FRANKEL in Which He Will Play Horse Trainer Henry Cecil
Jeremy Irons, best known as Scar in the animated Lion King movie, and current cast member of Watchmen on HBO, has been cast in an upcoming biopic about “horse trainer Sir Henry Cecil, who fought years of failure and illness to make Frankel the greatest champion racehorse of all time, unbeaten in all 14 starts, and bowing out with an emotional victory in front of a capacity crowd at the Champion Stakes at Ascot Racecourse.”
Irons will produce the film written by Jim Piddock, with director Ron Scalpello (Bobby) at the helm. This sounds like it could be an interesting and inspirational movie if done well. Irons is a fantastic actor who could bring a real dignity to the role. Does this sound interesting to you?
