Jesse Eisenberg Is Still Up for Playing Lex Luthor Again for DC

I personally wasn’t sold on Jesse Eisenberg’s take on Lex Luthor in the DCEU. I think he’s a solid actor, but seeing him in the role of Lex never clicked with me. I know a lot of fans that do think he was great in the role, though, and if you liked how he handled the character, you’ll be happy to know that he would love the opportunity to play Lex again.

The character’s return was set up in the post-credits scene of Justice League, but Warner Bros. is pretty much acting like that movie doesn’t exist. They’d certainly like to forget about it! So, I seriously doubt we’ll see any threads from that story continue in the future. Things didn’t really go as planned and the studio is distancing itself from Zack Snyder’s DC films.

It’s likely that Henry Cavill will never return as the Man of Steel as much as the actor wants to, which means Eisenberg’s return as Lex is also a long shot. But, if the studio does want to revisit the character, Eisenberg is totally up for it! During a recent interview, the actor was asked if he would play the character again and this was his response:

"Oh yeah, I would love to because it’s such a cool character. To play a villain in a superhero movie is the fun part. The good guys are fine but the villain is the fun part cause you get to be more flamboyant. The hero usually gets to survive but the villain has all the funny lines."

Would you guys like to see Eisenberg return as Lex Luthor, or would you rather see another actor take a crack at the role?
