Jessica Alba Producing Mystery Series WINE & SPIRITS at Fox Based on Medium Jennifer Shaffer
Fox is developing a one-hour mystery drama titled Wine & Spirits, from Jessica Alba’s production company, Lady Metalmark Entertainment. The show is based on Manhattan Beach-based psychic medium Jennifer Shaffer who, in addition to her private clientele, consults with the FBI and LAPD to solve crimes.
Written by Rob Sudduth (Acapulco), Wine & Spirits centers on Jennifer Shepherd, a psychic living in Manhattan Beach who juggles two starkly different lives: one as a mom and divorcee and the other as a consultant solving crimes for the FBI.
Alba said of her friend, Shaffer, “From the moment I met Jen Shaffer, I knew she was extraordinary. Not just for her gift of connecting with the other side, but for her wit, sparkle, and unforgettable style. Over the years, we’ve shared laughter, tears, and even meditation retreats (which I may have dragged her to), and she’s helped awaken parts of my own intuition I never knew existed. Building a show around someone as dynamic as Jen has been a true joy, and I’m excited to see these stories come to life under Rob’s visionary direction.”
Shaffer, a sought-after L.A. intuitive medium, will serve as a producer on the project. Alba is not expected to act in the series at this time.
