Academy Award-winner Jessica Chastain (The Help, The Eyes of Tammy Faye) and two-time nominee Adam Driver (Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens, Marriage Story) are set to star in the drama series The Dealer, which has landed at Apple TV+ in a competitive bidding war.

Written by Lucas Hnath and to be directed by Sam Gold, The Dealer is described as a biting exploration of power, class, seduction and culture set inside the glittering world of the high-end art market, told through the eyes of an aspiring super gallerist, played by Jessica Chastain, and the tangled relationship with her most gifted and unnerving artist, played by Adam Driver.

Also executive producing The Dealer are A Doll’s House, Part 2 trio of Hnath, Gold & Sarah Lunnie; Michael Ellenberg and Lindsey Springer for Media Res; Chastain and Kelly Carmichael for Freckle Films; Driver and Alan Poul (Six Feet Under).

Arianna Anderson will serve as co-executive producer on the project, which fits into Apple TV+’s slate dominated by star-driven series.
