Jessica Chastain Is a Lethal Assassin on the Run in the Trailer for AVA
Jessica Chastain stars in a new action-thriller titled Ava, and today we’ve got a trailer to share with you for it. In the film, Chastain plays a lethal assassin who finds herself on the run for her life when the black ops organization she works for turns against her.
This is the same plot of so many other assassin stories. There’s nothing really new to see here, but the movie comes from director Tate Taylor (The Help, Get on Up, The Girl on the Train, Ma) ,and the rest of the cast includes Colin Farrell, John Malkovich, Geena Davis, Diana Silvers, Ioan Gruffudd, Common, Joan Chen, and Jess Weixler.
Despite the impressive cast, there’s really nothing special about this story that we already haven’t seen before. Here’s the synopsis:
Ava (Jessica Chastain) is a deadly assassin who works for a black ops organization, traveling the globe specializing in high profile hits. When a job goes dangerously wrong she is forced to fight for her own survival.
Ava will be released sometime later this year in the U.S. but it will make its debut in Canada streaming on August 25th.
