Jessica Chastain's Action Spy Thriller THE 355 Release Date Pushed to 2022
Universal Pictures has pushed the release of its female-led action spy thriller The 355 from January 15th, 2021 to January 14th, 2022. I imagine we’ll be seeing more and more movies being pushed to 2022 because who knows when this pandemic nightmare we’re living in will end.
The film comes from director Simon Kinberg, and the story centers on five rival agents who team up to stop a threat that could cause World War III. The film stars Jessica Chastain, Diane Kruger, Bingbing Fan, Lupita Nyong’o, and Penélope Cruz. It will also feature MCU star Sebastian Stan and Edgar Ramírez.
The story revolves around a “dream team of formidable female stars coming together in a hard-driving original approach to the globe-trotting espionage genre in The 355.”
“When a top-secret weapon falls into mercenary hands, wild card CIA agent Mason ‘Mace’ Brown will need to join forces with rival badass German agent Marie, former MI6 ally and cutting-edge computer specialist Khadijah, and skilled Colombian psychologist Graciela on a lethal, breakneck mission to retrieve it, while also staying one-step ahead of a mysterious woman, Lin Mi Sheng, who is tracking their every move.
“As the action rockets around the globe from the cafes of Paris to the markets of Morocco to the wealth and glamour of Shanghai, the quartet of women will forge a tenuous loyalty that could protect the world—or get them killed.”
You can check out the previously released trailer for the film below. This movie looks like it could be good, but it’s one that I’m in no rush to see.
