Jessica Rothe Replaces Samara Weaving in the Sam Raimi-Produced Revenge Action Fantasy Film BOY KILLS WORLD
Happy Death Day star Jessica Rothe is set to take on the female lead in producer Sam Raimi’s revenge action fantasy film Boy Kills World. Rothe will be replacing Samara Weaving, who had to drop out of the project due to scheduling conflicts.
Boy Kills World is described as “a one-of-a-kind action spectacle set in a dystopian fever dream reality. Boy is a deaf-mute with a vibrant imagination. When his family is murdered, Boy escapes to the jungle and is trained by a mysterious shaman to repress his childish imagination and become an instrument of death.”
Rothe will play an assassin named June 27, and she joins Bill Skarsgard who is playing Boy, along with martial arts master Yayan Ruhian (John Wick 3, The Raid: Redemption) as his mentor. The movie also stars Andrew Koji (Warrior, Snake Eyes) and Isaiah Mustafa (It: Chapter Two).
The movie starts shooting in South Africa on February 14th, and it sounds like it’s going to be a blast!
