Jim Carrey is a Children's TV Host Whose Life is in Crises in Trailer For The New Series KIDDING
Showtime has released the first trailer for Jim Carrey's new comedy series Kidding and it looks amazing. This first trailer is so damn good and I'm completely sold on the series! I was in awe of Jim Carrey while watching this trailer because what I'm seeing in his performance is incredible. I won't lie, the trailer made me choke up a little bit.
Carrey play's Jeff, a.k.a. Mr. Pickles, "an icon of children's TV, a beacon of kindness and wisdom to America's impressionable young minds and the parents who grew up with him — and who also anchors a multimillion-dollar branding empire. But when his family (his wife, two sons, sister and father) begins to implode, Jeff finds no fairy tale or fable or puppet will guide him through this crisis, which advances faster than his means to cope. The result: A kind man in a cruel world faces a slow leak of sanity as hilarious as it is heartbreaking."
The half-hour comedy also stars Catherine Keener, Judy Greer, Justin Kirk (Weeds) and Frank Langella. It will reunite Carrey with his Oscar-winning Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind writer-director Michel Gondry, who will helm the series. The series was created by Dave Holstein (I'm Dying Up Here).
Kidding will premiere on Sunday, September 9th on Showtime.
