Jim Carrey Rumored to Be Cast as M.O.D.O.K. in the MCU
According to a recent rumor, Jim Carrey might be joining the MCU as the villain M.O.D.O.K. This rumor comes from a Marvel Studios Spoiler subreddit, so take the news with a grain of salt. But, crazier things have happened with the MCU films, so anything is possible!
The report goes on to say that M.O.D.O.K. could make his MCU debut as early as the She-Hulk series next year. It’s also said that M.O.D.O.K. will have a story arc that would span multiple Disney+ shows and theatrical films. If this is true, It would be interesting to see if the character ends up being built up to the point to face off with Captain America in the fourth film because traditionally he is a Captain America villain.
We don’t know whether Carrey would be introduced as the final version of the villain or George Tarleton, the AIM scientist who eventually mutates into M.O.D.O.K. But, I assume if they do introduce the character it will be as George Tarleton.
The report also mention previous rumors that M.O.D.O.K. would play some kind of role in Ant-Man: Quantumania. Again, I have no idea if there is any truth to this rumor, but it certainly would be interesting to see Carry in the role of M.O.D.O.K. What are your thoughts regarding the rumor?
