JINS Eyewear Launches Official Pokemon Glasses
Today, JINS Eyewear and The Pokémon Company are launching a new line of Pokémon glasses for fans to enjoy. Right now, fans can find a number of models available based on fan favorites like Pikachu, Eevee, and Snorlax. There are currently three main lines with more coming in early 2021. For children, they can get glasses for $100, or for adults there are the $120 Johto Region Model and the $140 Flagship Model. The Kanto Region Model ($100) will release in early 2021 as well as additional Johto Region Model options.
The Kids Model is available in four colors — two based on Pikachu and one each for Eevee and Mew. They have a more rectangular shape and come with a case that looks like a squished Poké Ball and a cleaning cloth like a Rotum-powered Pokédex.

The Johto Region Model features glasses with very skinny temples inspired by Pokémon found in the Johto region. The colors also are designed to invoke the beloved Pokémon that include Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile, Ho-Oh, and Lugia. The glasses come with a very sleek case and cleaning cloth for you to take care of your new eyewear.

Meanwhile, the Flagship Model features a distinct look for each of the Pokémon. You can pick from Pikachu, Eevee, Snorlax, or Mew. Each design is also available in a few different colors. Each pair of glasses comes with a nice brown case and a Poké Ball cleaning cloth.

We’re also getting the Kanto Region Model which features more of a tapered temple which has Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle embossed on the left side. On the right temple you’ll find Pikachu with the other three in their Poké Balls. The shapes are Wellington and Boston and are available in retro colors. The case is a nice gray and the cleaning cloth features the first 151 Pokémon.

JINS was kind enough to send me the Flagship Snorlax model in a lovely dark turquoise. I really like the case and the cleaning cloth. The glasses are good quality and I love the ends of the temple which are a nod to the rotund Pokémon. It’s also fun to see the silhouette of Snorlax on the left temple. Overall, these are good glasses. The catch is that for adults, all of them have a very circular shape. I am more of a rectangular glasses kind of guy myself and wish that there were more shapes available.
