J.J. Abrams and Bad Robot Are Developing Film and TV Projects For JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK

After J.J. Abrams and his Bad Robot production company joined the Warner Media family, fans were wondering what DC projects they might end up working on. There have been rumors and speculation on what DC properties they might take on, but now we know what they are developing thanks to Deadline.

According to the report, Abrams and Bad Robot are in early development on both film and TV ideas for DC’s Justice League Dark universe. There are no details on what exactly these ideas entail, but this is the aspect of the DC universe that the production company will be focused on.

Bad Robot’s Head of Motion Pictures Hannah Minghella and Head of Television Ben Stephenson will be taking meetings with talent reps and their writing clients on which characters will get their own projects soon.

Justice League Dark has been in and out of development over the past several years with various talent attached. Guillermo del Toro (The Shape of Water) and Doug Liman (Edge of Tomorrow) were both attached to it at different points, but they both ended up dropping out.

There are a lot of great characters that make up the Justice League Dark universe such as John Constantine, Swamp Thing, Deadman, Zatanna, Madame Xanadu, Shade, Changing Man, Black Orchid, Doctor Mist, Nightmare Nurse, Pandora, Etrigan the Demon, and more.

It’ll be interesting to see what Abrams and Bad Robot end up producing with these characters, but I hope they get a great creative team to bring whatever these projects are to life! What projects would you like to see Bad Robot make from this side of the DC universe?
