J.J. Abrams Has Already Pitched EPISODE IX to Lucasfilm and Disney
When Star Wars: The Force Awakens was on its way out, countless people were a little worried about J.J. Abrams being in charge. I can remember all the jokes and memes that came out about his use of lens flare. But after the movie came out, many fans were pleased. Then it was announced that he would return for the final installment of the Skywalker storyline and I heard most people be indifferent and a couple of people I know panicked because they felt he had ruined Star Wars.
I think Abrams did a fine job with The Force Awakens though, and am interested to see what his idea for Episode IX is. The Disney CEOs got to find out Abrams' vision Friday as MakingStarWars reported that Bob Iger announced in a press conference on the 14th that “J.J. Abrams is pitching the story for Episode IX tomorrow morning.”
This is getting real guys! The end of the Skywalker story is coming in two years and it is up to Abrams to make it solid. He has a very tough job ahead of him as this film not only wraps up the new trilogy but all nine Star Wars movies. I hope he does a great job with it and can’t wait to see what he has in store for us.
Star Wars: Episode IX is due out December 20, 2019.
