J.J. Abrams is Producing a New Thriller Called LOU and Allison Janney is Set To Star

J.J. Abrams is set to produce a new thriller through his Bad Robot production company called Lou and Academy Award winner Allison Janney has signed on to star in it.

The film project is being directed by Anna Foerster, who is best known for her work on Outlander and Jessica Jones. The script for the film was written by Maggie Cohn with a revision by Jack Stanley.

The story is said to follow “a young woman and her landlord, Lou, who team up to track down the former’s child after the girl is kidnapped by the woman's estranged husband. The story has also been described as being a tonal mix of Thelma and Louis and Taken.”

Janney will take on the role of the landlord, “a hard-shelled and rule-breaking woman that has unexpectedly impressive tracking abilities, among other skill sets.”

Sounds like Janney will need to go through some training with Liam Neeson! At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if Neeson really is going out and saving people in his spare time. Maybe his movies are based on his own experiences!

Anyway, Lou is set to start shooting in spring of 2019. Does this sound like a movie you’d be interested in watching?
