J.J. Abrams Reportedly Producing a New CONSTANTINE Movie; Will Keanu Reeves Return?!
An exciting report has surfaced that J.J. Abrams is going to be producing a new live-action John Constantine solo film! As we already know, Abrams is currently developing a Justice League Dark series for HBO Max. Now according to The Direct, a live-action Constantine movie is also in development at Warner Bros., with Bad Robot producing.
They also say that the film “will have a similar feel and tone to Bad Robot's other current upcoming projects, which include the Justice League Dark HBO Max show as well as the Zatanna movie.”
This news gets even more interesting with Murphy’s Multiverse saying that the studio “may actually be courting Keanu Reeves to return in the role of John Constantine, 15 years after he first appeared in the role.”
The report was backed up by The Observer’s Brandon Katz, who took to Twitter to say:
We don’t know if this will be a soft reboot with Reeves reprising the titular role. There’s also the chance that this will be a hard reboot with a completely different actor in the role.
This is all just a rumor for now, but as a big fan of the 2005 Constantine movie, I would love for the rumors to end up being true, especially if Keanu Reeves is going to be involved again!
