J.J. Abrams' SPIDER-MAN Comic Book Series Gets a Trailer with a First Look at the Villain Cadaverous

A couple months ago it was announced that J.J. Abrams was going to write a Spider-Man comic book for Marvel with his son Henry. Now today we have a trailer to share with you that offers us a first look at what’s in store.

The comic will be a five-part series, and it will introduce a new villain to the Marvel universe named Cadaverous, who “will cause problems for Spider-Man, his alter-ego, Peter Parker, and his beloved Mary Jane Watson.”

The story is still being kept under wraps, but Abrams did promise that the series will show Peter Parker “in a way you haven’t seen him before.” The trailer features Abrams and his son talking about the development of the comic and features some of the art, which was created by Sara Pichelli. It also includes our first official look at Cadaverous.

It’s said that Cadaverous is one of the most terrifying Spider-Man villains of all time. It’s explained that the villain and his minions do some horrible things to the main characters early on in the story and they are going to have a hard time recovering from those things.

I’m intrigued by this new Spider-Man story and I’m, excited to see what Abrams and his son end up bringing to the table! I’m sure it’ll be filled with some surprising twists, because Abrams likes doing that kind of stuff.

J.J. Abrams takes the webbed wonder to new heights when he and his son Henry partner with legendary spider-artist Sara Pichelli for a story like you've never seen before! SPIDER-MAN #1 arrives September 18 in comic shops and the Marvel Comics App!
