J.J. Abrams Teases a 4-Hour Runtime for THE RISE OF SKYWALKER
Fans have been dying to get as much information regarding Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Then, last week we got the title reveal and a teaser and it was amazing! We’re still getting a lot of cryptic answers to questions though such as what the title means.
Another cryptic answer came from director J.J. Abrams when he was asked how long the film would be. According to a tweet from Clayton Sandell, Abrams said that it could be five minutes or maybe four hours before revealing, “Right now, its 90 minutes because we're not done editing yet.”
I would be a little surprised (but still very excited) if The Rise of Skywalker ended up being four hours. However, I would not be surprised if it lasted 3 hours like another big film under Disney.
The longest Star Wars movie yet has been the highly divisive film Star Wars: The Last Jedi which clocked in at 2 hours and 33 minutes.
What’s your best guess on how long The Rise of Skywalker will be?
