J.J. Abrams Teases an Ahsoka Tano Cameo in STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER
J.J. Abrams is back to play with the emotions of Star Wars fans again! In a recent interview with the Japanese news outlet Sora News, Abrams unexpectedly teased that we might see Star Wars: Clone Wars character Ahsoka Tano make a cameo!
When asked who his favorite Star Wars character was Abrams responded, “Han Solo.” Abrams then asked the interviewer who their favorite character was. The response was Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker’s apprentice and prominent non-Jedi Force user in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels. To which Abrams replied:
“Hmmm, Ahsoka, huh? Well then you’ll probably want to watch closely during The Rise of Skywalker.”
Now, why in the hell would he say that if Ahsoka doesn’t show up at some point!? She’s got to be in the film, right!? He better not be playing around because now I’m going to be looking for her, and if I don’t see her, I’m going to be sorely disappointed.
I’ve been wanting to see this character brought to life in a live-action Star Wars project since she was first introduced. I personally think she deserves her own movie and live-action series. The fans would love for Lucasfilm to develop something like that!
If she does show up in The Rise of Skywalker, I imagine it won’t be a big role. She might just pop up in the background at some point. I guess we’ll find out soon enough! The movie hits theaters this week!
Would you like to see Ahsoka Tano show up in The Rise of Skywalker, or would you rather have Lucasfilm save her for a bigger role in another project?
