J.J. Abrams Treats STAR WARS Fans at SDCC to Free Concert and Lightsabers
At the end of the Star Wars: The Force Awakens panel in Hall H last night, director J.J. Abrams and producer Kathleen Kennedy invited all 7,000 fans at the panel to a Star Wars secret live orchestra concert! They literally escorted everyone out of Hall H in an orderly fashion a few blocks away behind the San Diego Convention Center to an outdoor park venue, where they handed everyone a Hasbro toy Lightsaber!
Abrams and Kennedy invited the majority of the cast up on stage before the concert began including Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, and Oscar Isaac. They got the fans pumped up for the concert, then John Williams had a video message for the crowd and it began! It ended with an insanely awesome fireworks display.
This was seriously such an incredible experience. It is one of my favorite Comic-Con experiences of all time, and you can see a few of the clips of it below.
