J.K. Rowling Is Already Working On FANTASTIC BEASTS 3
There's still six months to go until Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald opens in theaters, but that makes little difference to J.K. Rowling. The author informed fans in a Q&A (via Variety) she's just started work on the third film's screenplay, well ahead of the film's 2020 release date. To be fair, I'm sure she's right on schedule considering revisions she'd have to make as well as allowing for the film's shooting schedule, although I'm sure she'll have this done in plenty of time for the film to release as scheduled.
I guess the only reason this seems weird because we also have writers like George R.R. Martin who likely won't have his next book out in the series before the final season of Game of Thrones! Are you looking forward to Fantastic Beasts 2? I'll admit I loved the Harry Potter films but the first Fantastic Beasts film was a bit of a snooze fest for me. I'm hoping the inclusion of Dumbledore, Hogwarts, and a few other locales will keep me more interested in things this time around.
Also Rowling, if you're reading this right now, it would be great if a bulk of the third film took place at a Quidditch World Cup match. Those events always seemed so over the top in the books and the films did them no justice.
