We've got another trailer to share with you for Joaquin Phoenix's savage new film You Were Never Really Here. This movie has been getting great reviews and it seems like a movie that film fans won't want to miss.
The story centers around a tormented war veteran with a troubled past (Phoenix) and he is hired to rescue a missing young girl who has been sold into sex trafficking. Things take an unexpected turn for him while he's on his journey through the dark underworld of crime that he found himself in. As you'll see, this guy is insanely ruthless. Here's a brief synopsis:
A traumatized veteran, unafraid of violence, tracks down missing girls for a living. When a job spins out of control, Joe’s nightmares overtake him as a conspiracy is uncovered leading to what may be his death trip or his awakening.
The movie was directed by Lynne Ramsay and it looks like she has made an incredible film. I can't wait to see this. Child sex-trafficking in the U.S. is a huge issue. It's a lot bigger than people think and it has been a problem for years. It good to see a film like this bring awareness to that. You Were Never Really Here opens on April 6, 2018.
