Jodie Foster Set to Star in Fourth Season of TRUE DETECTIVE on HBO
Academy Award-winning actor Jodie Foster (The Accused, Silence of the Lambs, Panic Room) has joined the cast of the HBO crime drama True Detective. The anthology series is set to go into its fourth season after a three year break.
“In the fourth season, when the long winter night falls in Ennis, Alaska, the six men that operate the Tsalal Arctic Research Station vanish without a trace. To solve the case, Detectives Liz Danvers (Foster) and Evangeline Navarro will have to confront the darkness they carry in themselves, and dig into the haunted truths that lie buried under the eternal ice.”
Issa López, who wrote an episode in Season 1, is attached to serve as writer and executive producer on the new season in addition to directing the pilot. Alan Page Arriaga will co-write and executive produce. Foster will executive produce in addition to starring. Anonymous Content, which has produced past seasons of the show, will also executive produce along with series creator Nic Pizzolatto and Season 1’s Matthew McConaughey, Woody Harrelson, and Cary Joji Fukunaga.
I loved Season 1 of True Detective, with 2 and 3 not quite as strong. I am really looking forward to seeing this new storyline with the great Jodie Foster. Season 4 is currently in production.
