Joe Carnahan Will Direct FIVE AGAINST A BULLET for Sony Pictures

A-Team director Joe Carnahan is set to rewrite and direct a new action movie for Sony Pictures called Five Against A Bullet. According to THR, the project has kind of been sitting around gathering dust for several years, and during that time several people have come on and off the project. Bruce Willis was one actor that was looking to star in the picture, but it's not clear on if it's something he'd still be interested in doing.

The story centers on a "Mexican politician who, after his father is killed by a drug cartel, hires the five best bodyguards from around the world to protect him through a contentious election."

This sounds like the perfect project for Carnahan to develop. His energetic directing style would translate perfectly to a story like this. The other films he has directed include Narc, Smokin’ Aces, and The Grey
