Joe Pantoliano Among Nine New Cast Members Set to Recur in Showtime's Prequel Series DEXTER: ORIGINAL SIN
Showtime‘s prequel series Dexter: Original Sin has added nine recurring cast members to its Season 1 roster, including Emmy winner Joe Pantoliano (The Sopranos), Brittany Allen (The Boys), Randy Gonzalez (Bloodline), Aaron Jennings (Pure Genius), Raquel Justice (One Day at a Time), Jasper Lewis (V/H/S), Carlo Mendez (The Bay), Isaac Gonzalez Rossi (That’s Amor) and Roberto Sanchez (Palm Royale).
The 10-episode original drama series is set in 1991 Miami and follows Dexter (Patrick Gibson), a student refining his killer skills with the help and support of his adoptive father Harry (Christian Slater).
In his dad, he finds solace and understanding, especially as his bloodthirsty urges grow and can no longer be ignored. As his only confidant, Harry teaches Dexter a code that’s designed to help him find and kill people who deserve to die — all while avoiding getting caught by law enforcement.
This is a particular challenge for young Dexter as he begins a forensics internship at the Miami Metro Police Department.
Pantoliano plays Mad Dog; Allen plays Dexter’s biological mother, Laura Moser; Gonzalez plays Santos Jimenez; Jennings plays Clark Sanders; Justice plays Sofia; Lewis plays Dexter’s adoptive mom and wife of Harry, Doris Morgan; Mendez plays Hector Estrada; Gonzalez Rossi plays Gio; and Sanchez plays Tony Ferrer.
The previously announced cast also includes Molly Brown, James Martinez, Christina Milian, Reno Wilson, Alex Shimizu, Patrick Dempsey and Sarah Michelle Geller. Production is currently underway in Miami with Clyde Phillips at the helm.
