Joe Russo Gives His Two Cents on Integrating X-Men and Fantastic Four into the MCU

Disney is on the verge of acquiring Fox, with most hurdles easily being overcome. This means that Marvel fans are wondering how the Fantastic Four and X-Men will be brought into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. If it helps, Joe Russo recently talked to USA Today and gave his two cents about how the integration will happen.

It could be a little time, with the integration of Fox and all the Fox characters. I haven’t talked to [Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige] directly about it, so I don’t know what his plans are. But my guess would be they’re gonna integrate some of the other characters and take their time doing that.

We all know that Avengers 4 is going to bring a lot of changes to the MCU. Many fans even believe that it will be the key to integrating the Fox properties. I am of the opinion that Avengers 4 will indirectly help integrate mutants.

I don’t think the Russos were planning on using Avengers 4 to bring in the X-Men and Fantastic Four, but I do think that Marvel will use something in Avengers 4 to slowly build up to something. All that said, I don’t think we’ll see anyone from Fox show up in the MCU until the fifth phase.

What do you think? Will Avengers 4 directly set up the rise of mutants? Does Russo know more than he’s letting on?
