Actor Joel Edgerton (The Great Gatsby, Boy Erased) has joined the cast of the true-crime thriller The Unknown Man alongside the previously cast Sean Harris (Mission: Impossible - Fallout & Rogue Nation). The film is being written by Top of the Lake and Outsiders actor Thomas M. Wright.

Variety reports the film follows “an elaborate sting operation that helped resolve an unsolved murder. The film will center on the friendship between a hardened criminal, played by Sean Harris, and the undercover officer, played by Edgerton, sent to bring the killer to justice.”
