Joel Edgerton Will Protect His Family in A24's Thriller IT COMES AT NIGHT

If you consider yourself a film fan, you're probably familiar with A24. The relatively new production and distribution company is responsible for bringing us movies like Spring Breakers, The Spectacular Now, Under the Skin, Ex Machina, Room, Green Room, and The Witch, just to name a few. Now the company has its next project lined up, a thriller called It Comes at Night which will star Joel Edgerton in the lead role.

Deadline says the story centers on "a father who will stop at nothing to protect his wife and son from a malevolent, mysterious presence terrorizing them right outside their doorstep." Trey Edward Shults is writing and directing, but I missed his directorial debut Krisha, so I'm not familiar with him as a filmmaker. That plot description is also pretty vague, so I'll have to put my trust in A24 and Edgerton and hope this turns out well.
