Joel Kinnaman Fights to Survive in the Frozen Wasteland of the Action Thriller ICE FALL
Aura Entertainment has shared the trailer for Ice Fall, a frozen action thriller starring Joel Kinnaman and directed by Stefan Ruzowitzky, the Oscar-winning filmmaker behind The Counterfeiters.
The story follows a young Indigenous game warden who arrests a notorious poacher, only to discover that the man knows the location of a plane loaded with millions in cash that crashed into a frozen lake.
As word gets out, criminals and corrupt cops swarm the icy wilderness, forcing the unlikely duo to work together to survive.
Here’s the synopsis: “To Find Redemption, You'll Have to Break Through. A young Indigenous game warden arrests a notorious poacher, only to learn he knows the location of a plane full of cash that crashed in a frozen lake. When criminals and corrupt cops close in, the unlikely pair must fight to survive and escape across the melting ice.”
The film co-stars Danny Huston, Graham Greene, Frida Gustavsson, and DeVaughn Nixon, rounding out a strong ensemble that seems tailor-made for a gritty survival thriller.
While the trailer suggests shades of Cliffhanger and The Grey, it leans more toward a gritty B-movie style, complete with desperate chases across melting ice and snow-drenched gunfights. Unfortunately, it looks like another disposable VOD flick.
Ice Fall arrives on VOD on November 4, 2025. Bundle up and get ready for a cold, bloody showdown on the ice.
