Joel Kinnaman Most Likely Not Returning If ALTERED CARBON Gets A Season 2

Altered Carbon will almost definitely get renewed for season 2, but Joel Kinnaman probably won't be a part of it. The actor spoke to TVGuide and indicated his role in the series is likely a one-and-done gig:

“I don’t think so, no. We have no idea what the second season would be, but my guess is that they would follow the two other books, and they are all on completely different planets, completely different worlds, and my guess is — and I don’t know — my guess is that it’s sort of going to be an anthology show where maybe a couple of the characters continue into the next season. But no one knows what’s going on in the second season.”

The revelation is to be expected if you've seen the finale, which shows Takeshi Kovacs return Ryker's sleeve for a new one. If you just read that and are super pissed thinking I ruined the series for you...don't worry body's come and go in this series that it's hardly a spoiler. 

Honestly I'm happy about this news as while Kinnaman grew on me as the season progressed, I would love to see how another actor tackles the character! Who would you want to be the next Takeshi Kovacs?
