Joel McHale Joins THE X-FILES Revival
Community star Joel McHale has joined the upcoming X-Files limited series as a guest star. He will be hunting for the truth as a character named Tad O’Malley, who is described as "the anchor of a popular conservative internet news network who becomes an unlikely ally for Fox Mulder."
McHale joins David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, who are returning to reprise their roles as FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully. Mitch Pileggi also confirmed that he’ll be back as Walter Skinner. We've also reported that William B. Davis’ Cigarette-Smoking Man could return along with Annabeth Gish and Robert Patrick as special agents Monica Reyes and John Doggett. The latter two have yet to be confirmed, though.
It's not hard to imagine McHale in the world of The X-Files. I'm sure he'll fit right in. We're only going to get six new episodes from this revival, and if it's a hit with fans and audiences, we might get to see the journey of these characters continue.
