Joey King Joins Brad Pitt in Director David Leitch's Assassin Action-Thriller BULLET TRAIN

The Kissing Booth star Joey King is in negotiations to join Brad Pitt in his upcoming action-thriller Bullet Train, which is set up at Sony Pictures. John Wick, Deadpool 2, and Hobbs & Shaw director David Leitch will helm the film from a script being written by Zak Olkewicz.

The film is based on the Japanese novel Maria Beetle written by Kotaro Isaka. The story follows five assassins who “find themselves on a fast moving bullet train from Tokyo to Morioka with only a few stops in between. They discover their missions are not unrelated to each other. The question becomes who will make it off the train alive and what awaits them at the terminal station?”

King’s role in the film is said to be a supporting part, but according to the report, it would be “her most action-heavy part to date, giving King a role that could lead to more roles in films like it in the future the way The Edge of Tomorrow did for Emily Blunt and Iron Man 2 did for Scarlett Johansson.”

Obviously, King wants to get out of those little Netflix romantic comedies and in on those big tent-pole action movies! It’ll be interesting to see what her role in the film will actually entail.
