John Boyega is Set To Star in a New Netflix Pulpy Sci-Fi Film Called THEY CLONED TYRONE

John Boyega (Star Wars) has landed the lead role in a new sci-fi film project being produced by Netflix called They Cloned Tyrone.

The movie is said to be like "Friday-meets-Get Out," and the story is described as “a pulpy, sci-fi mystery caper, in which an unlikely trio investigates a series of eerie events, alerting them to a nefarious conspiracy lurking directly beneath their hood.”

That’s not a lot of information to go off of, but the concept sounds like it could be fun. The movie will be directed by the writer of Creed 2, Juel Taylor, who also co-wrote the script with Tony Rettenmaier. This will be Taylor’s first time directing a movie.

We’ll see Boyego play Finn one more time in the upcoming movie, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, and he’s also got several other projects lined up. Those include the legal drama Naked Singularity, Steve McQueen's London-based period drama Small Axe, currently in production, and sci-fi romance Hold Back the Stars, both alongside Letitia Wright

It’s been fun to see Boyega’s acting career take off since he starred in the little alien invasion sci-fi film, Attack The Block.
