John Cena and Jackie Chan are Teaming Up For the Action-Thriller PROJECT X

John Cena is replacing Sylvester Stallone in the upcoming Jackie Chan action-thriller called Project X.

The film is set at a Chinese-run oil refinery in the Middle East. Chan will play a "Chinese private security contractor who is tasked with extracting oil workers from a refinery that’s been attacked." He will team up with a former U.S. Marine played by Cena, when he learns that the attackers’ real plan is to steal the oil.

The movie is set to be directed by Scott Waugh (Need For Speed). Cena and Chan should make a good on-screen team, but I still would have liked to see the Chan and Stallone team-up. There's no word on why he's no longer involved.

Cena has been blowing up in Hollywood recently. He's come a long way since The Marine. He just starred in the film Blockers and he's also going to be in the upcoming Bumblebee movie and another film called The Janson Directive.
