John Cho and Katherine Waterston Set To Star in New Blumhouse Horror Film THEY LISTEN
John Cho and Katherine Waterston are set to star in a new horror film for Sony Pictures and Blumhouse titled They Listen. The movie is currently shooting in Los Angeles, and it’s being written and directed by Chris Weitz (The Golden Compass, American Pie, Twilight: New Moon, A Better Life).
Unfortunately, there are no details to share in regard to the plot of the film, but Blumhouse tends to produce great horror movies, and this project seems like it’s in capable hands with creative talent. It was also announced that the movie will be released this coming summer ,on August 25th, 2023.
Jason Blum, Chris Weitz and Andrew Miano are producers on the film. Bea Sequeira, Dan Balgoyen, Britta Rowings and Paul Davis are EPs.
Cho recently starred in Amazon Studios’ father-daughter dramedy, Don’t Make Me Go, as well as Netflix’s live-action Cowboy Bebop series. As far his films go, one of his most recent was the hit 2018 thriller Searching, which earned him an Independent Spirit Award nomination in the category of Best Male Lead.
Waterston will be seen in Paramount Pictures’ upcoming Damien Chazelle-directed movie Babylon. She also stars alongside Sean Penn and in the upcoming Tye Sheridan thriller, Black Flies, and the second season of the HBO series Perry Mason.
