John Krasinski Announces the Release of A QUIET PLACE PART II Has Been Delayed Worldwide
A Quiet Place Part II director John Krasinski has announced that the release of the film has been delayed over the coronavirus epidemic. The release of the movie was initially delayed in Europe but shortly after that announcement, Krasinski took to Twitter to reveal that the film is now being delayed around the world, including in the United States. In the statement that Krasinki shared he said that he wants the entire world to experience the film together:
“To all our A Quiet Place fans. One of the things I'm most proud of is that people have said our movie is one that you have to see all together. Well due to the ever-changing circumstances of what's going on in the world around us, now is clearly not the time to do that. As insanely excited as we are for all of you to see the movie... I'm gonna wait to release the film til we CAN all see it together! So here's to our group movie date! See you soon!”
It’s safe to assume this won’t be the last movie that gets a delayed release. You can bet studios are having conversations about the release of a bunch of upcoming films. There’s no doubt that the movie theater chains are sweating it right now. With movies getting pushed back, people won’t be going to theaters.
We have no idea when the film will open. I guess they are just going to wait and see how things continue to play out with this pandemic.
Here’s the synopsis for the film:
Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family (Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe) must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.
A Quiet Place Part II was written and directed by Krasinski.
