John Stamos Coaches Girls High School Basketball in Trailer For Disney+'s BIG SHOT
Disney+ shared the trailer and poster for its upcoming original series Big Shot. The show stars John Stamos as a coach who ends up reluctantly coaching a high school girls basketball team. Of course, over the course of his new journey in life, he comes to love it.
In the story, Coach Korn (Stamos) is given a chance for redemption after getting ousted from the NCAA, “with a coaching position at an elite private high school. He soon learns that the teenage players require empathy and vulnerability — foreign concepts for the stoic coach. By learning how to connect with his players, Marvyn starts to grow into the person he’s always hoped to be. The girls learn to take themselves more seriously, finding their footing both on and off the court.”
The series was created by David E. Kelley and it also stars Jessalyn Gilsig, Yvette Nicole Brown, Richard Robichaux, and features a talented group of young actors including Sophia Mitri Schloss, Nell Verlaque, Tiana Le, Monique Green, Tisha Custodio and Cricket Wampler.
The 10-episode series is set to premiere on Disney+ on Friday, April 16.
