John Travolta and Stephen Dorff's Crime Thriller AMERICAN METAL Picked Up by Saban Films
The crime thriller American Metal has been picked up by Saban Films, with John Travolta and Stephen Dorff starring. They are joined in the cast by Shiloh Fernandez (Evil Dead), Ashley Benson (Spring Breakers), and Kevin Dillon (Platoon, The Doors, Entourage).
The film, from writer and first-time feature director Nicholas Maggio, “tells the story of a desperate and struggling family man who robs a pill mill. However, when the theft turns violent, he finds himself hunted by both the police and the Dixieland mafia.”
This will be the second film teaming Travolta and Dorff following the upcoming Saban release, Paradise City. Filming just wrapped on American Metal in Georgia, with Saban Films looking at a 2023 release.
