JOHN WICK 4 Director Says He's Watched The Film 100 Times and It Never Bores Him

We still have to wait a few more months before John Wick: Chapter 4 is released, but when it does finally drop, it’s going to deliver one hell of a great action movie! In fact, director Chad Stahelski has watched the film 100 times so far, and after watching it all those times, he’s still excited about the movie, he’s not bored with watching it! He recently told Collider:

"I've watched this thing now, this version of the cut, close to 100 times, and another 100 by the end of the month at least. And this is the first one that we watch and I don't get bored at all. It's my own film. I know it's weird to say, but I watch it and I was like, 'Oh, I'm still in the movie.'"

That’s just so cool to hear! I mean, the first three films are so good and so entertaining, and I’ve watched them all multiple times over the years and they are still great! I’m not bored with them, and now we’re hearing that Chapter 4 is going to have even more staying power! This is a very good sign that we’ve got a great movie coming and it could possibly be the best in the franchise!

It’s not often that fans and audiences get excited about a fourth movie. People are usually rolling their eyes when a franchise just keeps going, but not with John Wick! This is easily one of the most highly anticipated films of the year!

When previously talking about shooting the film, Keanu Reeves said: “John Wick: Chapter 4 has the most action of any of the [John Wick] films, which is saying a lot. And it’s more by a good margin. It’s a big show… John Wick: Chapter 4 was the hardest physical role I’ve ever had in my career so far. They really trained me up to be able to have what we call the toolbox.”

It sounds like all that hard work is going to pay off! In John Wick: Chapter 4, Wick faces off with new enemies and reunites with old friends on his mission to destroy the villainous High Table once and for all.

John Wick: Chapter 4 is being helmed by Chad Stahelski, and the cast also includes Donnie Freakin’ Yen, Hiroyuki Sanada, Rina Sawayama, Shamier Anderson, Lance Reddick, Clancy Brown, Ian McShane, and Bill Skarsgard as the sinister main villain.

The movie is currently scheduled to open in theaters on May 27th, 2023.
