JOHN WICK 4 Star Donnie Yen Sings the Praises of Co-Star Keanu Reeves and Director Chad Stahelski

John Wick: Chapter 4 is currently underway, with fans getting excited for the next chapter in the action-packed story. Actor Donnie Yen has joined the fourth installment, and it comes as no surprise that he has some pretty great things to say about not only his well-liked co-star Keanu Reeves, but also the franchise director, Chad Stahelski.

In a recent interview with Collider, Yen sang the praises of the two men, and his experience working on the film, saying:

I have to take this opportunity to (express) my utmost appreciation for Chad and Keanu. They’re just lovely men, gentlemen, they’ve got a big heart. Keanu’s got a good soul, a good man. Chad is also a very good man, very knowledgeable. People think of him as a brilliant action guy, he’s not (just that), he understands films. He’s a film librarian, he knows what’s going on. I’m having the best time working with them in this movie, (more) than any of my previous Hollywood movies, so I wanted to express my appreciation.

It’s cool to hear an actor so grateful and excited for his opportunity on the job. He went on to praise Reeves a little more, adding:

He’s great, it’s more than I expected. He’s the guy, he does everything himself. He put in the hours, he put in the work and he can do it. He’s no joke. I have that respect for him, and he’s just a cool guy to be around and to work with.

It makes a movie even better to watch knowing what awesome people are involved with it. Not that fans of John Wick needed another reason to get excited. John Wick 4 is still filming and is set to release May 27, 2022, with John Wick: Chapter 5 to follow.
