JOHN WICK: CHAPTER TWO Official Synopsis Takes The Fight International

We'd already heard whispers that John Wick: Chapter Two would be heading to Rome, but now an official synopsis (via Collider) confirms it.

Keanu Reeves returns in the sequel to the 2014 hit as legendary hitman John Wick who is forced to back out of retirement by a former associate plotting to seize control of a shadowy international assassins’ guild. Bound by a blood oath to help him, John travels to Rome where he squares off against some of the world’s deadliest killers. Lionsgate’s “John Wick: Chapter 2” arriving in theaters on February 10, 2017.

Blood oaths? That fits in perfectly with this world of honor among assassins. I also love that he came out of retirement in the first film, went into retirement again at the end, and is now coming back out of retirement once more this time. I wonder if that will become a running joke if this turns into a larger franchise.

The rest of the cast includes Laurence Fishburne, Ian McShane, Orange is the New Black's Ruby Rose, Riccardo Scamarcio (Burnt), Common (who's playing one of the villains), John Leguizamo, Bridget Moynahan, Peter Stormare, Tom Sadowski, and Lance Reddick.
