JOHN WICK Director Chad Stahelski Set To Helm The Supernatural Vigilante Film SANDMAN SLIM

John Wick co-director Chad Stahelski has jumped on board another great sounding film project. It's called Sandman Slim and based on a nine-book supernatural fantasy series by Richard Kadrey. This sounds like a great project for Stahelski and there's no doubt it will end up being a crazy film.

The story centers on James 'Sandman Slim" Stark, a "fast-talking, hard-boiled, supernatural vigilante who escapes from Hell to avenge his girlfriend’s murder and hunt down the magicians responsible for getting him sent 'downtown.'"

The movie will be written by Kerry Williamson, who recently co-wrote the fantastic Netflix film, What Happened to Monday.

Before Stahelski jumps into the development of this project he will direct the third installment of Keanu Reeves' John Wick. I wasn't familiar with this book series until today but it sounds awesome! I think I'm going to have to start reading it. Here's the description of the first book in the series:

Supernatural fantasy has a new antihero
Life sucks and then you die. Or, if you're James Stark, you spend eleven years in Hell as a hitman before finally escaping, only to land back in the hell-on-earth that is Los Angeles.
Now Stark's back, and ready for revenge. And absolution, and maybe even love. But when his first stop saddles him with an abusive talking head, Stark discovers that the road to absolution and revenge is much longer than you'd expect, and both Heaven and Hell have their own ideas for his future.
Resurrection sucks. Saving the world is worse.

Have you read any of these books? Do you think that Stahelski is a good director choice?
