JOHN WICK Director Chad Stahelski Would Like to "Take a Swing" at STAR WARS "Disney, If You're Listening"
John Wick director Chad Stahelski is a big fan of Star Wars, and he would actually like to get a shot at directing a Star Wars movie for Disney and Lucasfilm. During a recent interview on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Stahelski revealed he has ideas for what he'd do with the franchise and wonders if Disney could survive him. He said:
"I'm a Star Wars guy, like the first Star Wars changed my life course. Maybe someday out there, Disney, if you're listening. I'd take a swing at that. I challenge you to see if Disney could survive me."
I would love to see Stahelski take on Star Wars! I have no doubt that he’d make a badass Star Wars action film, which would be awesome to see. I just don’t think Disney or Lucasfilm could survive him, which is why they’ll probably never ask him.
Stahelski also said that when it comes to Marvel Studios, he also would love a shot at directing a Blade movie if the opportunity presented itself. He said:
"Of all the things out there, I'd take a swing at Blade in a second. Like that's one that gets under my skin, like 'Ah! I'd take a swing at that one.'"
He would be a great choice for that franchise as well! While it’s a shame that Disney probably won’t entertain the idea of bringing him into Star Wars or Marvel, Stahelski has still got some great projects in development that will keep him busy such as Highlander, Ghost of Tsushima, John Wick: Chapter 5, and more.
Would you like to see Staleski to direct a Star Wars film for Lucasfilm or a Blade film for Marvel?
