John Woo Will Direct Joel Kinnaman in a U.S. Action Film Titled SILENT NIGHT with No Dialogue
Director John Woo is prepping to helm a new action thriller titled Silent Night. This will be the first U.S. feature film that Woo has made since Paycheck way back in 2003. Joel Kinnaman (The Suicide Squad) is set to star in the movie, which is described as a “loud action tale, without a word of dialogue.”
The story will follow a normal father, who heads into the underworld to avenge his young son’s death. There aren’t any other details to share, but that’s all I needed to get the excitement flowing! That sounds like an awesome premise for a movie. It sounds like the kind of film Nicolas Cage would sign up for these days.
John Wick’s Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee, Christian Mercuri and Lori Tilkin are producing and casting is underway for the other roles that need to be filled.
I’m excited to hear that Woo is making an action movie that will take audiences on a trip to the underworld! I can’t wait to watch it!
