Johnny Knoxville and Steve-O Have Very Different Outlooks on JACKASS 5
In a recent interview with ComicBook, Johnny Knoxville was talking about his upcoming movie Sweet Dreams, and naturally the conversation turned to Jackass. When asked about any further Jackass movies on the horizon, Knoxville had this to say:
“Uh No, Jackass is like a feeling that you get, and you have to extinguish by doing another one. I don't have that feeling right now, but I still write ideas for Jackass all the time just because I can't help it. I get an idea, I'll just write it down and email it to myself. So I still write just in case, but I don't know if there will be enough.”
I would think that he would be good with what has already happened, especially with all of the injuries that he has sustained. Apparently, I’m not the only one who is concerned with Knoxville’s health and safety. Knoxville’s co-star Steve-O has been worried about Knoxville since his last major injury, as he previously stated:
“This last Jackass movie... it was kind of a bummer, man. It's not fun to watch Knoxville get hit in the head anymore. I wrote this text to the whole cast that day, thanking Knoxville for the sacrifices he's made for this team, and also begging that he stops with the brain trauma. It was one of my more serious and sincere messages.”
We have all seen the Jackass crew take their lumps, but we rarely think about how taxing they truly are on the actors’ bodies. Do you think it is worth their safety to make a Jackass 5? Let us know what you think.
