Johnny Yong Bosch is Returning as Vash the Stampede for TRIGUN STAMPEDE English Dub This Month

The Japanese version of Trigun Stampede aired on January 7 with new episodes weekly on Crunchyroll. Since then, Crunchyroll has announced that Johnny Yong Bosch (Bleach) who voiced the 1998 version of Vash the Stampede will be returning for this new iteration in the same role. The English dub will premiere on January 21 with new episodes weekly on Crunchyroll. This is really cool and Bosch shared his excitement:

Voicing Vash the Stampede in the original TRIGUN series is a role that literally launched my voice over career and I am extremely excited to voice him again in this all-new anime adaptation from Orange. I look forward to going on this adventure with fans once more and hope new audiences enjoy the journey as well.

Jeremy Inman is the ADR Director for the English dub and shared:

TRIGUN is anime royalty and I can’t wait to work with Johnny Yong Bosch in bringing it back to life with this new and fresh take, promising old fans the same gun-slinging action while bringing in new fans as well with amazing animation, characters, and story.

I’m excited to check out the dub of Trigun Stampede when it premieres this month. I loved Bosch in the original anime and think he’ll do a killer job once more. You can watch a video of Bosch’s excitement below the series synopsis.

Vash the Stampede’s a joyful gunslinging pacifist, so why does he have a $$6 million bounty on his head? That’s what’s puzzling rookie reporter Meryl Stryfe and her jaded veteran partner when looking into the vigilante only to find someone who hates blood. But their investigation turns out to uncover something heinous—his evil twin brother, Millions Knives.
